The other day a colleague sent me a gift card via Facebook for $5 to use at Sephora.  How sweet!  Well, yes, he’s the PR person for Wrapp.com but still, it’s a nice way for someone to stay in touch and even send out a little treat.
So often I think of many people I’d just like to engage with a bit more than just an email.  A friend who is having a blue day.  Someone who just became a parent or grandparent.  An artist who may just have had an open studio event I couldn’t attend.  Wrapp makes it easy and they have a mix of free and paid gift cards you can send out over Facebook.  You get the gift card on your mobile phone and take it to the retailer.  No printouts.  Now how handy is that?

When you go to the wrapp.com site you can see pictures of Facebook contacts and their birthdays.   Inspired to send a few more people a giftie online?  And you’re not limited to Sephora of course.  You can find something for everyone from retailers like H&M. to subscriptions to the Wall Street Journal.
Wrapp started in Sweden late last year and this year received $10.5 million in series A funding.  Nearly 180,000 people gave their friends more than 1.5 million Wrapp promo cards in the past four months.  Easy peasy…I like that.
